In May 2025, basketball fans from all over the world will gather in Abu Dhabi to be part of the Euroleague Final Four
The participants of the tournament include such legendary clubs as Barcelona, Olympiacos, Anadolu Efes, Zalgiris, Baskonia, Panathinaikos, Fenerbahce, Bayern, Real Madrid, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Olimpia Milan, ASVEL, Monaco, Crvena Zvezda, Virtus Bologna, Alba, Paris and Partizan.
The winner of the previous Euroleague Final Four in 2024 was Greek Panathinaikos. The Athenian club won a confident victory over Real Madrid with a score of 95:80. The final match was held in Berlin, at the Uber Arena, which became the first stadium in the history of the tournament to host it three times.
Panathinaikos is one of the most successful clubs in the Euroleague over the past two decades. In the 2012-2013 season, more than 25 thousand spectators came to their matches, a record number for the tournament. Their games always attract attention due to their spectacularity and high tension. The club's symbol is a trefoil, which represents the harmony of spirit and body in Greek mythology.
Relations between Panathinaikos and Russia's CSKA Moscow have long been tense due to frequent meetings in decisive matches and the transfers of key players, such as Ramunas Siskauskas. It was he who brought the Greeks victory in the final against CSKA in 2007, and later became a player for the Moscow club, which only worsened their rivalry.
However, in 2025, Russian teams, including CSKA, will not participate in the Euroleague for obvious reasons. Nevertheless, Panathinaikos will continue to fight for the title, striving to conquer the top again.
